Our Programs
Our aim is to ensure each child is granted the correct approach to learning and development. We believe that learning is both individual and social. Children enjoy participating in ‘hands-on’ and ‘brains-on’ activities. They actively drive their own learning and development, by the choices they make, the interests they develop, the questions they ask, the knowledge they seek, and their motivation to act more competently. Children’s choices and interests are the driving force for building knowledge, skills, and understanding by working and playing with other people, they are constantly learning about themselves and their social and cultural worlds. Children build positive identities through collaborative, caring relationships with other people, by managing and taking risks, ‘having a go’, experiencing success, developing resilience, and developing mastery or can-do attitudes.
Within our high-quality facility we lay the foundations to ensure your child becomes a lifelong successful learner. We ensure that children feel valued as individuals, safe and cared for. Their individual development is never rushed, but is supported in ways that are right so that they have the opportunity to become deeply involved in their activities and to follow their ideas through.
We also manage the pace of activities and plan interesting new experiences to stimulate learning. With this groundwork in place, it is then where our teacher’s skilled interactions will allow learning to move forward.
We have a range of activities to keep them happy and learning:
- Caring for the Environment: by using recycled materials for Arts & Craft, Planting seeds & watching them grow, and going on Nature Walks.
- Making Friends: through team building activities, playing together, enjoying library & story time, and participating in dramatics & plays.
- Music & Movement.
- Gymnastics & Brain Gym.
- Enjoying the Outdoors: Splash & Water Play, Swings & Slides, building Sandcastles.
- Science experiments, Maths activities, and cooking.
Our Curriculum
Nursery Motto – “For that peace of mind only a parent can know”
We base our program on the “Birth to Three Matters” framework, for children under 3 years. It highlights the inter-relationship between growth, learning, development, and the environment in which the children are cared for. The framework is based on four “Aspects” a strong child, a skillful communicator, a competent learner, and a healthy child. The framework identifies the child’s achievements and efforts.
For the children who are 3 years and above the EYFS (UK, Early Years Foundation Stage) framework is used as our guideline. Our key principle is learning through play. The goal is to develop a unique child, allow them to develop positive relationships in life, provide them with the best possible enabling environments, and understand that each child develops and learns differently. We base our carefully planned activities on the Early Learning Goals.
The Early Years Foundation Stage framework divides the learning and development into 7 areas:
The Core Areas
- Personal, Social and Emotional Development
- Communication and Language
- Physical Development
The Specific Areas
- Expressive Arts and Design
- Understanding the world
- Mathematics
- Literacy
